The Power of the Intergenerational Game

Last week, I had an incredible experience while visiting friends who have recently bought a new house. I decided to bring a gift for the parents and a Barricade game for the children.They have three beautiful and smart children;however, they are very shy – making it a rare occasion for them to communicate with anyone other than their parents.While the kids began to play with me, their fascination of the game lead them to ask and share strategies with me, causing them to completely forget their barriers, and enjoy the game.I have always believed in the power of games and puzzles to open a conversation and strengthen the connection between adults and children, and to be used a tool to solve problems.
